White’s Chapel has defined our Mission Statement with a strategic vision –

Engage the Heart. Stir the Soul. Challenge the Mind. Connect the Body.

Engage the Heart.

White’s Chapel endeavors to provide greater opportunities for individuals and families of all ages to live out the command to love God by more fully and more actively loving people. As such, we will engage our congregation to be more active in mission ventures with expanded opportunities to serve our community, our nation, and our world. However, we cannot – we must not – permit ourselves to see “mission” as an act that occurs only outside the walls of the church. This church will always strive to be a mission outpost and never of a monument to an antiquated system of belief.

Stir the Soul.

The leadership of White’s Chapel pledges itself to the call of enabling people to experience the presence of the living God in worship. To that end, we continue to pursue excellence in our current worship services while researching innovative forms of worship characteristic of a regional church. Our current membership now reflects a majority constituency from areas outside Southlake (49% Southlake, 51% other); we understand it is necessary for us, then, to provide services and programming that welcomes people, that we create spaces that invite them to greater involvement in and ownership of the church’s ministries. Further, we must allow individuals the opportunity to find their passion and, then, resource them in such ways as to allow them to live out the Gospel in their daily lives. This means that we must find the ability to welcome change; we must find the strength to open ourselves to new people and new ideas. We must be flexible enough to bend, but strong enough to hold true in the inevitable trials that will come.

Challenge the Mind.

One of the most enduring legacies of any church is its impact through Christian education. From Sunday schools to cell groups to adult Bible studies, White’s Chapel provides ample opportunity for Christian education, but it must never be relegated to the church campus. For this reason, White’s Chapel will continue to promote the need for adult small groups – groups in which relationships are made and the mind in challenged to grow.

Connect the Body.
Like tendons and bones in our bodies, White’s Chapel is held together by an extraordinary infrastructure. Let us be known for our incredible crew of staff and volunteers. Our church will continue to develop systems to connect individuals to areas of ministry within the operational side of the church where they can live out their call to ministry, where they can employ their God-given gifts and graces in support of this great body of faith. Further, the church vows itself to proper stewardship and management of its resources; we will continue to reflect an ever-increasing awareness of our responsibility to those who support the mission and ministries of the church. For these reasons, White’s Chapel expects wise and prudent stewardship – both from its membership and its staff.

In the process of living out this strategic vision, we will not look at the number of individuals who come. We must not look at the number of buildings built. Instead, the value of this body will be found in the number of lives changed by the good news of Jesus Christ.
